More "Book" Decor

So I had a couple comments on this post suggesting that these books would be cute for other holidays too!

So here's what I came up with.

Gobble Gobble! (just as easy as the pumpkin)

Or how about a plain one with some cute little burlap and a ribbon.  This would be so easy to change out to match holiday decor.

Have you made any yet? I'd love to see them if you did!

So cute!

I really love the plain one and the idea of being able to switch out the ribbon to coordinate anywhere/any time!
Great job!

Thanks for adding your inspiration to the Fall Festival! :)

Thanks for visiting. Wow, you brought back old memories! We used to do this with the old TV guide. My dad would get mad if we used the new one which we sometimes snuck! We would fold the pages to make like a triangle and paint them green and embellish them for Christmas. Love the idea!

Hi,Heidi! I cannot believe that you are really "craftily challenged," as you say you are! I think you could make my leaf ball, no problema! Just give yourself some time and a lot of floral pins! LOL
I checked out the tutorial for this book pumpkin. I want to make a plain one out of a larger book (cover removed) and add a finial on top to make it a bit more formal. I saw one in an antique mall for $12.99 and wondered how it was made. Thanks so much for the insight and the visit this morning!

Cute idea! I remember many years ago some made Christmas trees from paperbacks, but not sure how they did it.

Hi,
I am trying to make one of these, but my sides will not meet... does that mean that my book wasn't big enough? It was around 200 pages or so. I keep trying to get the right side to stick to the left, but the pages keep pulling apart. Perhaps I did something wrong?

Just wanted to see if you had any suggestions...
